Jayce

I'm Jayce. Eighteen-year-old singer/songwriter from a small town in Maryland. Growing up, I had always had a passion for music. Listening to music could change my mood, could put a smile on my face, or could soothe my heart from a painful event going on. I had decided to pick up a guitar when I was 10 years old, and from that point on my life changed. I became obsessed with playing and writing new music and being able to release my feelings into the music I was playing. A year or two later, I took on singing which opened my eyes to an entirely new musical experience. Being able to shut my eyes and pour my heart out into every word I was singing gave me a rush nothing else could. I began playing and singing in a band named Wicked Wayz, a band I am still apart of till this day. After several years of playing with them and many gigs, I began finding an even greater interest in playing acoustic shows and writing music. I have been putting my all into pushing myself into more shows and into writing new music acoustically. Being able to write a song in which every word means so much to me, but then having others message or talk to me about how they can relate, or how it changed their lives is the most surreal and amazing feeling I have ever felt. This is why I am on this earth, to play, write, and bring music to the people. I recently turned down colleges and many opportunities, in order to fulfill this dream and that is exactly what I am going to do.
